The problem
Most harnesses put a strap straight across the front of the shoulder. Your dog can still walk in it, but the stride shortens — the strap catches the shoulder blade every time the leg comes forward. Over months of daily walks that changes how a dog moves.
Thin strap harnesses do something else: they concentrate the whole pull onto two narrow bands, which digs in under the front legs.
The solution
A padded step-in vest. Your dog steps in, you buckle it over the back, and the load spreads across a wide padded chest panel rather than a narrow strap. The neck opening is cut wide so nothing sits on the throat, and the shoulders stay clear so the stride is unaffected.
The padding is what makes it a daily harness rather than an occasional one — there is no edge to rub on a long walk.

If your dog pulls hard, buy the Tactical. This is a comfort harness, not a control harness, and we would rather say so than take the order.
Choosing your size
Measure chest girth at the widest point, just behind the front legs, and check it against the chart on this page. Between two sizes, take the larger — the belly strap adjusts down further than it adjusts up.
Two fingers should slide flat under any strap once it is on.

Questions
Will it stop my dog pulling?
No. It spreads the pressure so pulling does not hurt them, but it gives you no extra leverage. For pulling, use the Tactical harness.
Can my dog back out of it?
Not if it is fitted properly — two fingers under the strap, no more. A loose step-in harness is the one a determined dog reverses out of.
Is it machine washable?
Hand wash and air dry. Machine washing degrades the padding and the reflective trim.
Can I leave it on all day?
It is comfortable enough that you could, but no harness should stay on an unsupervised dog. Take it off indoors.
