About Marloft
Marloft sells a small, carefully chosen range of gear for walking, travelling with, and cleaning up after a dog — described accurately, priced plainly, and shipped with the real dates on the page before you pay.
A short range, on purpose
We stock ten products. That is not a soft launch; it is the plan. Every item on this site is one we can describe from the manufacturer's own specifications, and every claim on a product page is one we can point to a source for.
We would rather sell ten things we can describe accurately than eight hundred we have never examined. It means you will occasionally search for something we do not carry. It also means that what we do carry, we can answer questions about.
How we choose what to stock
Three questions, in this order.
Does it solve a real problem?
A harness with a top handle solves something — the moment your dog lunges at a kerb and you need an immediate hold. A novelty bandana does not. If we cannot name the specific moment a product helps, it does not go on the site.
Can we get the specifications?
We publish measurements, materials and features that come from the manufacturer's own data. Where a supplier cannot tell us a capacity or a fabric weight, we leave that line off the page rather than guess. You will notice a few gaps. Those gaps are deliberate, and they are the honest version.
Is there enough of it?
A product that sells out in three days is worse than one we never listed — it means somebody waits, or gets an apology instead of a package. We check warehouse stock before we list, not after.
What we promise about delivery
A real date range, per product, on the product page, before you pay.
Our tactical harness ships from a US warehouse and currently arrives in about eight days. Most accessories come from further away and take two to three weeks. One item carries a lithium battery and travels on a certified freight line, which also takes around three weeks.
We could bury that. We put it on the page instead, because the alternative is a refund request and a customer who never comes back.
And when a number changes, we change it here. The harness estimate said five days until we checked it against the warehouse's own figure and found it was eight. So it says eight.
What you will not find here
- No countdown timers invented to rush you.
- No “only 3 left” when there are four thousand.
- No invented discounts. Where you see a crossed-out price, it is real arithmetic — our Walk Kit shows $87.97 because that is genuinely what the three items cost bought separately, and you are welcome to check.
- No reviews written by anyone other than a real customer — which currently means no reviews at all. We would rather show you nothing than show you fiction. When real ones arrive, they will appear.
About the name
Marloft does not mean anything, and that was the point. We did not want a name that told you what we sell, because what we sell will change. Marloft is a company, not a category.
