The problem

Fetch needs you. Puzzle feeders get solved and abandoned. And the gap in between — a bored dog on a wet afternoon while you're working — is when the skirting boards start getting chewed.

The solution

A tower your dog pushes with their nose. A tennis ball rolls out of the exit, and a little food falls into the tray at the base. They chase the ball, come back, push it in the top, and it happens again. The loop is what makes it work: chase, reward, reset, repeat — without you throwing anything.

Teaching it

Most dogs don't work it out alone. Drop a ball through yourself a few times so they see the food appear, then guide their nose to the top. Ten minutes of showing them and the penny usually drops.

Questions

What food goes in it?
Their normal dry food works best — small pieces that roll. We don't sell food, so use what they already eat.

Is it a chew toy?
No. It is plastic and a determined chewer will damage it. It is a supervised game, put away afterwards.

What size dog?
Small and medium dogs get on with it best. A large dog can play but may find the mechanism easy and the balls small.

Indoors or out?
Both — though indoors is where it earns its keep on a wet day.
