The problem

A small dog on a car seat can see upholstery and nothing else. Some settle. Plenty don't: they pace, whine, try to climb into the front, or get carsick because the world is moving and they can't see it move.

The solution

A raised, bolstered seat that lifts your dog to window height and gives them a defined space of their own. Dogs that can see out of a car generally settle in a car. The padded sides give something to lean into on corners, and an internal strap clips to the harness so they stay in it.

Who it suits

Small and medium dogs — roughly up to 40 lbs. Above that, a dog is better off on the bench with a harness and tether, or behind a boot guard. If your dog is close to the limit, they will fit but will fill it.

Is it crash-tested?
No. It is a containment and comfort product — it keeps your dog in one place and stops them roaming the cabin. Treat the strap as a tether, not a restraint rated for impact.

Front seat or back?
Back seat, always. Airbags are dangerous for dogs at close range.

My dog gets carsick.
Being able to see out of the window helps a lot of dogs, because the motion they feel matches what they see. It isn't a cure, but it is the cheapest thing worth trying first.
